Spend a refreshing afternoon at one of Ruidoso’s mountain lakes, where you can kayak, paddleboard, and picnic shaded beneath a canopy of towering Ponderosa pines. Grindstone Lake is perfect for swimming and splashing around at the floating Wibit Water Park. Another spot on the water’s edge is the Alto Lake recreation area, where you’ll find fishing access, picnic sites, and picture-postcard views of Sierra Blanca.
