RUIDOSO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
What Travelers Need to Know About COVID-19 Precautions
Welcome to Ruidoso
Since the onset of the pandemic, we have closely monitored and assessed virus rates, public health recommendations, regulatory requirements, and agency guidance to inform and implement our safety protocols. Given the latest information we have and drops in hospitalizations, the determination has been made to adjust our COVID-19 requirements.
At this time, masking is optional for employees and guests, regardless of vaccination status.
The safety and well-being of our citizens and guests remain our top priority and we will continue to monitor the situation closely. Please note that changes may occur at any time, based on available public health information.
How can you help?
Get Vaccinated
Getting vaccinated and wearing a mask are the best tools we have to protect our health care resources and ensure our economy can continue to rebound. Please get vaccinated. Don't risk regretting not getting vaccinated – find vaccines near you today at http://VaccineNM.org
Get Tested
Knowing whether or not you’re infected with coronavirus can help protect not only your own health, but the health of our entire community — so it’s important to get tested if you think you have COVID-19.
Social Distance
Stay at least 6 feet from others. Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated spaces. If you are sick with COVID-19, have symptoms consistent with COVID-19, or have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, it is important to stay home and away from other people
Follow COVID Safe Practices
Living in a COVID-positive world requires responsibility from all of us. In order to decrease the spread of COVID-19, allowing businesses, restaurants, and schools to reopen safely, it is imperative we adhere to COVID safe practices.
HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WHEN VISITING:
If you are fully vaccinated, you can recreate responsibly as you did before the pandemic.
Visitors do not need to get tested before or after travel or self-quarantine after travel.
Businesses may still adopt and require additional precautions for employees and/or patrons, at their discretion, and are still advised to enact whatever social distancing and face masking measures may be appropriate to ensure the health and safety of customers and staff, in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance.
All limitations on mass gatherings are gone. Whether indoor or outdoor, businesses, large events, and organizations may operate at 100 percent of maximum capacity.
There have been no state travel restrictions.
RUIDOSO SAFE - PUBLIC HEALTH INITIATIVES
The Village of Ruidoso has installed hand sanitization stations throughout the midtown district.
The Village will have COVID Safety Practices (CSPs) crews out in public during high traffic times to assist the public and to provide complimentary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
The Village is working directly with local businesses and lodgers to ensure that all CSPs are being met and that all precautions are being taken to protect public health.
