Like vampires? Cowboy westerns? SURREAL VAMPIRE COWBOY WESTERNS? On Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 5:30 pm, Dr. Julia Smith, a film archivist and professor from NMSU will show the cult classic The Devil's Mistress, a vampire "acid western" film shot in southern New Mexico in the 1960s. Filmed on a low budget in the southern New Mexico desert, it is today a rediscovered cult favorite of the "acid Western" genre.
