Fort Stanton On Horseback

Please note: Interpretive rides have been temporarily suspended until further notice.

Ride along historic trails on a Fort Stanton guided History on Horseback tour. Interpretive rides take place on the second Saturday of the summer months (except July) beginning in May.

Cost is $25 per rider and you need to bring your own horse. Learn more at FortStanton.org

Mounted tours return for summer and early fall In the only tour of its kind in the state, the Fort Stanton Mounted Tour resumes this summer and fall, allowing participants to view the state historic site from the back of a horse. Riders participated in a previous mounted tour at Fort Stanton.
