Ski Apache invites winter sports enthusiasts to get pumped for ski season by dropping in to watch the highly anticipated winter ski film Teton Gravity Research at 6 p.m on November 18, 2017, at Sacred Grounds Coffee & Tea House. Calling All Party People: Gear up for a day of food, fun, entertainment, and raffles to kick off the 2017-2018 ski season at Ski Apache's Party on the Mountain. Plus, it’s your LAST chance to purchase discounted passes. October 14, 2017 9 AM to 5 PM.
This race begins with a dig for gold in front of the Ski Apache plaza. Participants must carry their gold nugget through our course on Easy Street and return it to the Pot-O-Gold.
The Big Mountain Vertical Challenge ‘17 is geared toward competitive Snowboarders and Skiers either as individuals or teams. The competition carries throughout the day to acquire the most vertical feet in the day. Racers must download the app SNOCRU to their android or apple device to prove how many vertical feet they attained within a certain time frame on this day. 1 Individual can win a season pass. Teams must consist of 3 and include a woman, a snowboarder, someone over 50, and someone under 20. Teams can win $500.00 and best individual wins winter/summer seasons pass!!!!!
There will be a silent and live auction and cash bar to raise funds for the Ski Apache Adaptive Sports program at the Ruidoso Convention Center. The Ruidoso Community has always supported this important fundraising event so come out and feel good about buying cool stuff. SAAS is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to teaching people with cognitive and physical disabilities to ski and snowboard. SAAS gratefully relies on the support of Ski Apache Ski Resort, fundraisers, and volunteers to host approximately 200 students each year. The program turns no one away due to type or extent of disability or financial constraints. Students and their families come from throughout the country as well as from regional and local schools, disabled veterans groups, and development centers.
