Last year, Annika Chambers won the Blues Music Award for Best Soul Blues Female Vocalist. Due to a last-minute change in her schedule, Mountain Entertainment Group for the Arts is bringing her back to Sacred Grounds next Friday evening, February 14 (Valentine's Day) with her new husband Paul DesLauriers, a Canadian Blues Rock musician.
Paul was recognized this week as Canada's top blues guitar player at the 17th Annual Maple Blues Awards ceremony in Toronto. A few months ago, they performed together at a house party jam and those of us who were privileged to be invited, saw and heard magic.
